Job Description:Responsible for performing all duties associated
with interpretation, order entry, dispensing and monitoring of
medications ordered by prescribers; the evaluation and
dissemination of comprehensive information about medications and
their use to patients, families, staff, prescribers and community;
and the monitoring and assurance of quality of medication use in
order to provide quality pharmaceutical services. Job duties also
include inventory control, care of supplies and equipment, and
accurate cash handling. Will assist in all aspects of the daily
departmental activities, including training of new staff and
precepting pharmacy students, interns and residents, billing,
record keeping, monthly audits, and other duties as assigned by the
department leader.
Education Qualifications:Graduate of a college of pharmacy
accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (BS
or PharmD degree required)
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:Licensed as a Registered
Pharmacist by the Board of Pharmacy of the state in which they will
be working (Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota).If currently
registered as a Pharmacist in another state, must be registered
with the Board of Pharmacy of the state in which they will be
working (Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota) as a Pharmacist-Intern
and actively pursuing licensure as a Registered Pharmacist,
obtaining licensure within 90 days of hire.Ongoing continuing
education and license renewal as required by the state Board of
Pharmacy.BLS certified within 90 days from hire date.Immunization
Delivery Certification completed within 1 year from hire date.
