Job Summary The L.P.N. is responsible for assisting the registered nurse in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care. The L.P.N. is accountable for all patients assigned to him/her according to established policies and procedures of Avera St. Luke's and the scope of practice for the licensed practical nurse. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department. Education and/or Experience Graduation from an accredited school of Practical Nursing Previous nursing experience is desirable, but not required. Licensure/Certification/Registration Current license to practice in the state of South Dakota with expanded role for Dialysis LPN. Completion of an approved Hemodialysis treatment course Work Schedule Varied Day Shifts: 4 ten-hour shifts per week; 72 hours every 2 weeks every other weekend (Fri/Sat) every other holiday Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. --$22.75 - $31.50 per hour -
